Nicole Hidaka graduated with a Masters in Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.
During her training at Bastyr, she completed four Chinese Herbology Internships in gynecology with Dr Rosey Ma. She also apprenticed for one year with experienced fertility and women’s heath specialists; Dr. Lee Hullender-Rubin DAOM, L.Ac. (formerly of Abundant Spring) and Christina Jackson L.Ac. (of Tiger Mountain Acupuncture).
After graduation, she was hired at Tiger Mountain Acupuncture where she worked specializing in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) gynecology and fertility. While there, she received continued mentoring under Christina Jackson L.Ac. As Nicole’s passion for women’s health grew, she studied with TCM women’s health and fertility lecturer Cindy McLieu L.Ac. of the Jade Institute as well as Jane Lyttleton and Randine Lewis (author of The Infertility Cure).
Nicole also spent 3 years as one of the acupuncturists at The Northwest Center for Reproductive Sciences (presently Seattle Reproductive Medicine) in Kirkland, WA, working with women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as IVF (invitro fertilization) and IUI’s (intra-uterine insemination).
Having previously been a teacher, Nicole believes in the power of educating her patients. Her passion is to guide them towards a more informed and empowered state of physical, mental and spiritual health. She believes that every person has an inner voice filled with wisdom and if listened to will help restore balance and wellness in their lives. Often in the busy, hectic lives that we lead, we become disconnected from our inner voice and make choices that bring discord into our lives. This discord can affect us on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. Her goal, at Perfect Harmony Acupuncture, is to provide a supportive space which will help patients reconnect with their innate potential to restore balance and harmony in their lives.
Nicole is a member of RESOLVE, the American Pregnancy Association, and the Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Association.
