Ruiya, originally from Beijing, China, completed her advanced professional training at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, and awarded with Master of science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM). Before Ruiya became a licensed acupuncturist, she received her background education in Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietitian in Miami, Florida. This multidisciplinary academic career has forged her philosophy: to help as many people as she can without the side effects from medications and surgical procedures.
Throughout the years of practice and education, Ruiya found her keenness and passion in women’s health and infertility. Ruiya has a strong foundation in the theories and practices in Chinese medicine, balanced with her nutrition background. She has completed 1000+ hours clinical training, and 400+ hours herbal medicine training, dedicated to women’s health. She also worked side by side with gynecologists and acupuncturists from China, together they helped many couples started a family.
Ruiya is also a certified Richard Tan’s balance acupuncture practitioner. She has a unique style of practice that combining traditional Zang fu diagnose and Richard Tan’s Balanced acupuncture when treating pain and internal medicine. In conjunction with using different modalities that include acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxa, and cuppings, Ruiya has helped many patients with chronic pain, anxiety, stress, insomnia and GI issues.
The methodology of Ruiya to health is: educate her patients to take an active role in their health journey by combining acupuncture with nutrition and lifestyle coaching. She believes that in doing so can connect the mind and body of a person to achieve better wellness.
